Volvo Penta D13 MG is an in-line 6-cylinder, 12.8-liter direct-injected marine diesel auxiliary engine with twin-entry turbo and aftercooler. The SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) exhaust after treatment system is tailored for a perfect fit. The SCR unit, also a silencer, reduces noise by 35-40 dBA. Volvo Penta has been able to fulfil IMOIII and Inland Waterway Stage V exhaust emission targets while maintaining the same low fuel consumption. And thanks to SCR, the engine power output remains unaffected. D13 MG EU Stage V Marine.

  • Together, the twin-entry turbo with pulse charging, and the highly efficient speed control system give this engine superior load-taking capability.
Electronic control systems
  • Two options for on-board electronic control: Marine Commercial Control System is a flexible and expandable control and monitoring system for classified installations. Open CAN Interface, engine delivered without control system, with different options with or without shut-down senders and switches.
